Rooted or jailbroken device

Root on Android or jailbreak on iOS turns off system protections that keep one app's data away from others.

• Other apps can read the wallet's storage or what you type.
• Malware on such a device can capture the recovery phrase or replace an address before you sign.
• The wallet warns you when it detects such a device.

Keep funds in a wallet on an unmodified device with current system updates. If the phrase was ever entered on a rooted device, move the funds to a new wallet.
